Summery
Life had finally settled down to a normal pace. The need for SPD Power Rangers no longer existent. Life seemed to be perfect. Commander Schuyler "Sky" Tate of SPD Earth and Cadet Sydney "Syd" Drew the SPD Pink Ranger had finally gotten married. Though for medical reasons they were unable to have children.

Bridge Carson and Elizabeth "Z" Delgado had begun training the new cadets. Whom would move on from training to become a part of the newly formed "Shadow Unit" a group of elite police officers dedicated to protecting the high ranking officials of the world government.

But life was about to take a turn for the worse. As a new threat entered the system. Helena the Queen of the Variddien empire . Bent on expanding her territory. Starting with Earth.

Chapter One
Sensor Readings

The day had started peacefully. The former B-squad power rangers now charged with instructing the younger cadets had just finished there weekly status report to the new commander of SPD Earth. Commander Schuyler "Sky" Tate.

Commander Tate and Cadet Sydney Drew had been married for six months now. Five months longer than Sky had been Commander of SPD Earth. And they were loving every minute of there lives with each other. Even though they were un-able to have children by natural means. They didn’t care. All that mattered was being with each other.

It was Saturday, there day off. Bridge Carson the new SPD Red Ranger having just returned from his mission back in time to help the Operation Overdrive Rangers had returned to his duties. Currently On Duty in the Command Center as Cadet Elisabeth “Z” Delgado lounged around in the recreation room enjoying her day off from instructing the new cadets with a good book.

Location: SPD Earth Command Center

The day was going perfectly. The sensors were free and clear from all abnormal readings. Bridge Carson SPD Red ranger had just settled in to Sky’s Chair observing the whole command center. The cadets operating the center on the weekends were efficient but still needed to be taught a lot. Every now and then a alarm would sound do to one of the cadets hitting the wrong button. But Bridge didn’t mind, after all he had been like that when he had first started working the command center his second year at the academy. He viewed this as simply another chance to mold the minds of young cadets. Or was he mold the cadets to the right mind set? He didn’t know.

“SIR! Cadet Sam Stewart reporting for duty” came the voice of a fifteen year old Sam.

“Good, start running sensor sweeps please. Cadet Larson didn’t show up for her duty shift today so I have no clue what is truly going on in our solar system.” Bridge said trying to avoid going in to his normal ramblings.

“Yes Sir!” Sam said as he saluted then walked over to the lunar sensor panel.

Bridge hoped that nothing would be detected. He really didn’t want to bother Sky and Syd on there day off. Procedure said that he had to call Sky to the Command Center if any strange readings were picked up on the sensors and he didn’t want to disturb his friends.

Leaning back in the chair he closed his eyes. Thinking of all that he and his fellow ex-rangers went through saving earth for the forces of Gruumm. Memories of there struggles flooding his mind like clock work. The first time in two years he had thought about that time. He was glad he was a part of the force that stopped Gruumm but he didn’t want to think about it. He never did. It wasn’t something he liked to think about.

Alarms sounded around the command center jogging Bridge out of his train of thought.

“What’s going on? Who hit the alarm this time?” He said jumping out of the chair and looking around at the Cadets all of whom looked startled by the Alarm going off.

“Sir no one hit it. The sensors have picked up what appears to be a Tricolbolt energy signature entering the system. “Sir, what kind of vessel emits Tricolbolt energy readings?” Sam questioned as he looked at the monitor he was standing in front of.

“I have no clue, Tricolbolt energy has only been speculated as a power source for a space vessel.” Bridge replied as he walked over to a console in the middle of the room.

Hitting a few key’s he spoke clearly and loudly. “Commander Tate Please report to the Command Center.”

He hated having to call Sky from his time with his wife. They barely had time to spend together now that Sky was Commander of SPD Earth.

A few minutes later Sky Tate commander of SPD earth and Sydney Drew walked into the command center followed by Elizabeth Delgado.

“What is it?” Syd questioned obviously upset that her time with her husband had been interrupted by this.

“Sir were picking up Tricolbolt Energy Readings entering the system. It appears to be admitting from a vessel of some kind.” Bridge said as he stepped aside so that Sky could verify the readings.

“Tricolbolt?!” Sky said as he walked over to the monitor and began to view the data.

“Something’s not right here. Cadet Carson, Cadet Drew, Cadet Delgado say here. All others you are dismissed.” Sky said attempting to sound official in front of his wife.

The cadets began to file out of the command center as Syd, Bridge, and Z sat down looking at Sky wondering what was going through his head. As the Cadets left Sky hit a few buttons. “Dr. Manx please report to the Command Center” he said as he turned around and walked over to his chair sitting down rubbing his head.

“Sky what’s going on? If you know something you should tell us.” Syd said as she looked at her husband apparently worried.
“What is it Sir.” Dr. Katherine “Kat” Manx said as she entered the Command Center.

“Tricolbolt energy readings.” Is all Sky was able to say.

“WHAT!” Kat said as she walked farther into the Command Center hitting a few buttons shutting and sealing the door.

“Ok, I’m sorry Sky but What the Hell is Going ON!” Bridge said apparently getting angry at the lack of information.

“Two day’s ago Dr. Manx and I received a priority one message from SPD Command. The message was from Supreme Command Cruger. Informing us that the SPD out post on Centre Prime had been destroyed. The assailants are as of yet unknown.” Sky began rubbing his head some more.

“According to the first scans The weapons used in the assault were nutronian based and from residual energy readings SPD Command derived that the vessel used in the assault had a tricolbolt engine system.” Kat continued as she walked over to the lunar sensors.

“They transferred there scans to us. And according to what I saw on that monitor the readings match exactly. There is only one possibility. This is the same vessel that destroyed the Centre Prime outpost.” Sky said as he turned around no longer facing his friends.

“Commander it appears that the readings are heading directly for earth.” Kat said as she looked at the screen.

“We have to stop them then.” Syd said as Bridge and Z looked at each other.

“I know. Kat the morphers.” Sky continued as he turned around.

“Right there sealed in the vault here in the command center.” She replied as she turned and walked over to a Badge with a Silver dogs head and the letters SPD on it. Sliding it out of the way reveling a vault. Entering a few numbers she turned to Sky. “Commander we will need your access code as well.” She said as she stepped aside.

Sighing Sky stood up walking over to the vault he entered a five digit access code. As the vault swung open he stepped aside walking back to stand in front of his friends. Followed by Kat who was carrying a silver case.

“Cadet Bridge Carson, Cadet Sydney Drew, Cadet Elizabeth Delgado its with a heavy heart that I must elevate you back to Active Ranger Status.” Sky said as Kat opened the case three morphers resting inside of it.

“Bridge you will take on the role of SPD Red Ranger, Syd and Z you will continue your roles as Pink and Yellow Rangers. The Roles of Blue and Green Rangers will remain unfilled until I can determine who is capable of handling the powers and not turning out like the A-squad of old.” He continued as Kat handed the morphers to the rangers.

“These morphers are a little different than those you remember. These are the newest versions of the morphers. The operate the same way as the previous version. As you can tell they are slimmer making them harder to spot and harder for a enemy to steal from you. They also allow you to access a special morph mode. This mode is called the Weapons mode. It provides to each of you a special weapon.” Kat began to explain.

“The red ranger will wield the Delta Sword, The Pink Ranger will wield the Delta Lance, and The yellow ranger will wield The Delta Axe. Also unlike before you will be able to use your civilian powers in your morphed form. As you will notice Sydney when you are morphed you will have a special pouch on your belt. This pouch will contain the basic minerals you need to use your genetic power.” She continued.

“We will wait before starting an assault until the intentions of this vessel is clear. Keep your morphers with you at all times. Just in case we have to call upon you to go into a fight.” Sky said as he unsealed the door.

“Cadets Dismissed!” He said loudly

Chapter 2
Action for Three

The Rangers sat around the recreation room thinking to them selves still unsure of everything that was going on. Not knowing the events of the coming day’s would test them both mentally and physically.

Syd sat there thinking to her self. “How could this happen. Things were just starting to settle down.” she said to her self as she stood up and looked over at Bridge and Z. They looked at her not knowing what to say they knew that she really didn’t want to have to go through this all again.

“I’m going for a walk. Call me if you need me.” She said as she turned and left the room.

Slowly she began to walk down the hallway looking around at the walls of the building. Her mind racing. After the events of the previous two day’s. Finding out about the new threat then getting the news she had been hoping for. She didn’t know what to make of it.

She didn’t know what to make of anything anymore. Her life had been thrust into a turmoil rather quickly. As she came to the entrance to the building she stopped. Leaning against the wall. “What am I going to do?” she questioned her self as she looked around to make sure no one was following her.

Sighing she walked out of the building looking around at the streets. Not paying attention she began to walk not really caring what direction she went. Her mind still racing with thoughts of her life with Sky and how she felt that it would end up coming to a end. Though she didn’t want it to happen considering everything that was going on.

Turning down a street she smiled. It had been almost a year since she had been on this street. Eight months since she had seen the figure standing in front of a van. With a smile she walked over to the figure. Who looked shocked to see her.

“Hey there Sydney long time no see.” the figure said as he looked her over grinning softly noticing she had a glow about her.

“Jack, its so good to see you how have you been?” She questioned her old friend and former red ranger.

“I’ve been better. A lot of things have been going missing lately. As you know Ally and Piggy are meticulous about keeping records of everything given out. Just to ensure that our stocks don’t run out. But what about you, How have you and the others been?” He answered and questioned her as he looked around thinking he spotted a strange looking figure following her.
“We’ve all been good. I can’t really say anything that is going on with in SPD right now besides the fact that Sky has us all on alert practically.” She said with a slight laugh.

The two stood there talking for some time laughing and reminiscing about the struggle against Gruumm when a flash of bright yellow light flew bye them hitting a Dumpster at the end of the street.

“What the…. A Krybot?!” Jack said as he spotted the figure of a Krybot standing at the end of the ally. “Must be one of the stray’s that Cruger had you and the others going after when I left SPD. How about I handle this one for old time sake. Its not like we ever had any pro…” he continued as thirty more Krybot figures appeared along with a figure shrouded in a black cloak.

“DESTROY THE HUMANS!” Roared a dark voice as the figure pointed a sword towards Jack and Syd.

“Jack get out of here now!” Syd yelled as she struck a fighting pose. The Krybots advancing on her rapidly.

“There’s to many for you to handle your self I’m not going anywhere.” Jack insisted as he stood next to her.

“This is SPD Business As a SPD official I order you to evacuate the area immediately. I can handle this myself.” she said as she reached behind her back pulling out her new Morpher. “SPD EMERGANCY!” she yelled as she flung her hand to her side then out in front of her. Morphing into the pink ranger she began to charge towards the Krybots.

As she ran in the middle of the Krybots they began to form a circle around her. One of the Krybots began the assault with a sweep kick hoping to knock Syd off her feet for the others to pounce on her. As he did Syd managed to dodge the attack only to be caught by two of the Krybots as the others converged on her all taking turns attacking her.

“HEY METAL HEADS BACK OFF .” Bridge yelled out from behind the Krybots as he and Z stepped out from behind a dumpster unmorphed. “Lets help her out a bit.” Came another voice from behind Bridge and Z. The voice of Jack Landors grining wildly.

“Z get Jack out of here NOW!” Bridge yelled as he held up his morpher calling out the standard morphing call as he morphed into the Red Ranger. Charging at the Krybots with a furry as he called upon his Delta Sword.

Following Bridges lead Syd called upon her Lance slashing at a few of the Krybots. Before turning to Bridge. “I guess we know the intention of that ship now!” Bridge said as he looked at Syd. Seeing there chance the Krybots and there leader all surround the two rangers each taking turns attacking them until they both fell to the ground groaning.

“HEY BACK OFF!” came the voice of the yellow ranger standing at the end of the ally fully morphed her axe in her hand. Getting angry at the ambush on her friends she charged at the krybots slasing at them with her axe knocking a good portion of them down as the others jumped back.

Quickly getting to there feat the Pink and Red rangers looked at the Krybot’s both angry at the attack. As they charged at the Krybot’s a flash of red light struck the ground in front of them. Knocking them and the yellow ranger back as the Krybots and there Leader vanished from view.

Getting back to there feet the rangers looked around unsure of what had just happened.

“Power Down.” Bridge said as he demorphed followed by Syd and Z.

“They had us beaten pretty much why would they take off like that?” Syd asked looking more confused than Bridge did on a daily bases.


The End Chapter Two.

Chapter 3
The New Delta Runners

“What happened why did they run?” Syd questioned her self outloud as she sat around the Recreation room all by her self. “You need to tell him, He has a right to know.” Bridges voice washed over Syd. Turning around quickly she looked at Bridge.

“I’m sure I don’t know what your talking about Bridge.” She replied knowing that he knew what she had been keeping from people. But she didn’t know how he knew. “Sydney don’t lie to me, you know what I am talking about I know you do.” Bridge replied looking into her eyes.

“NO I DON’T!” Syd yelled getting up and walking away from Bridge. Storming past Z as she walked into the room.

“What’s up with her?” Z said as she looked at Bridge. “I can’t say. Its her problem she needs to be the one to tell people. Not me.” Bridge replied looking at Z. The two rangers sat there for a while talking to each other.

“Power Rangers Please Report to Dr. Manx’s Lab immediately” Came Sky’s voice over the intercom. Bridge and Z looked at each other wondering what was up. As the looked at the door to see Syd walk by they got up to follow her.

As they walked they tried to talk to Syd who threw her hand up in there faces. “NOT NOW!” she yelled as the rounded the corner and entered the Lab.

“What’s Up?” She said as she walked over to her husband planting a kiss on him quickly before turning to Kat. “We have some new toy’s for you guys.” Kat said smiling at Sky who looked down at his wife then to the other rangers.

“As a precaution Supreme Command Cruger had Kat start the construction of these new “toy’s” the year after we defeated Gruumm.” Sky said as he looked over at Kat.

“Any way. If you’ll follow me please.” She said as she turned and walked to a door way behind her. Hitting a button as it opened reveling an Elevator. As the three rangers and Sky entered the elevator Kat grinned. “Hanger!” she said as the doors closed. The elevator began to move down.

“Halt!” Kat ordered to the elevator. The elevator stopped as Kat looked around. “First things First. Commander Take this you’ll need it if you are to join your wife and the other rangers on the battle field.” Kat said as she handed Sky a morpher. “Umm… Ok” Sky replied taking the morpher. “Sky will join you in battle as the Shadow Ranger on the orders of Supreme Commander Cruger” Kat said as she handed a data pad to Sky with the order on it.

“Resume” Kat said as she turned away from them. As the reached the Hanger Kat grinned at them.

“I would like to present to you the newest zord technology. The Delta Runner’s Mark 2. There stat of the art technology gives them each there own individual warrior mode. They each have there own designation other than Delta Runner. As you see there are six of them. This one is called Blade Runner it is yours Bridge.” Kat said as she walked in front of a red delta runner. “This one is called diamond runner. It belongs to you Syd, This one is the Force Runner, it belongs to you Z. And Sky This black beauty is called Shadow Hound it is yours.” She continued as she walked in front of a yellow, pink and black runner.




THE END CHAPTER 3
((I know that this chapter is pretty short but that's all that I had planned for this chapter. The next chapter will have a lot more happening it in. It will be kinda hard to follow it for some people i know this. I'll have the chapter up later on tonight maybe tomorrow.))

Chapter Four
Near Destruction

“What about the other two?” Bridge asked as he looked at a Blue and Green set of runners. “Seeing as there is currently no Blue or Green ranger we will operate these two by remote when it is time to form the megazord. That will be the only time they will be used until we can assign a blue and green ranger to the squad.” Kat said as she looked at the other two Runners. “Well I guess that about covers it. You are all dismissed.” Sky said as he turned around and walked towards the elevator the others following him closely.

The ride back up the elevator seemed to last an eternity for Sky. He wanted to be able to spend the rest of this day. His and Syd’s Anniversary with her. He had made reservations at her favorite restaurant and he had even bought her two dozen roses and a box of chocolates. He even planned on wearing his green t-shirt that he thought he looked hideous in but Syd loved the way he looked in it and he loved her so much that he wanted her to be happy at all times. He would do anything to ensure she was happy. Anything with in his power that is.

For Syd the elevator ride seemed like it took five lifetimes. She had been trying to figure things out in her head. The Variddian Empire , The news that she had been hoping for turning out to be a false alarm. As well as how to convince Bridge to come out with his feelings for Z. All running through her head at one time. It was no mystery why she had been having head aches a lot lately.

For Bridge this ride seemed like it was only about three seconds instead of the thirty minutes it actually was. He had spaced out like he had been doing a lot. He was thinking of Z and how he felt about her. Wondering if she felt the same way about him though he didn’t think some one as amazing as she was could feel anything but friendship towards some one like him, “or could she, maybe… no it’s impossible, well she might, no she doesn’t, but then again…wait I confused my self what was I thinking about?” Bridge found himself saying out loud. Drawing the attention of everyone in the elevator right as the doors flung open.

Syd couldn’t help her self she began to laugh harder than she has laughed in a long time. Since before Sky was promoted to Commander that is. She turned to face Z then to Sky still laughing when she felt a nudge on her side. She looked over to see Bridge glaring at her. “O Sorry.” She said quickly. As she and the others walked out of the elevator.

“You all have the rest of the day to yourselves. And I’ll see you at noon” Sky said winking at Syd as he walked out of the room.

The morning seemed to fly by to fast. The rangers guessed it was because of there anticipation for the coming battles. And what mysterious and other things would be coming out in the coming months.

Syd walked out of hers and sky’s room looking up and down the hall she spotted sky walking towards her. “Sorry I’m not dressed formal or anything I just know you love the way I look in this shirt so I thought I would wear it.” He said as he finished attaching his morpher carrier to his side with one hand. Keeping the other hand behind his back the whole time. The red heart shaped box of chocolates visible under his arm.

“Its ok sweet heart.” Syd said as she put her morpher into her purse. Grinning up at her husband. “O I almost forgot. These are for you.” he said as he grabbed the chocolates and handed them to Syd with his left hand. “And so are these.” He said as he pulled the two dozen red roses out from behind his back. “O Sky!” Syd said as she leaned in and kissed her husband.

“Well are you ready to get going? I made reservations at Bistro Hartford” Sky said with a grin on his face. “I also arranged to have The End to be brought out of the archives and shown in Theater 1 at New Tech Cinemas. “ Sky said as he led her out into side of the building as a Limo Pulled up in front of the building. “Though I decided to take a little liberty on the transportation instead of taking my old car.” He said with a grin on his face.

The two climbed into the limo as drove off. It wasn’t long before Syd found her self remember the night Sky proposed to her. She could see it as clearly as she could she her hand in front of her face. Sky and picked her up from her parents house while she was on a medical leave from SPD. He had been wearing the exact same shirt which is why she loved to see him in it. She was wearing a hot pink dress with golden accidents and hot pink 4 inch heels, shoes good enough to fight off a attack from a Krybot, she had been thinking to her self when she put them on. He had shown up in his old beat up car that he had bought three months before. But it still worked. Better than if he had shown up on his patrol bike.

She had been wanting to see the movie “The End” for three weeks now since it had came out and she had finally talked him into taking her to see it. She could remember the entire movie. The main characters, Melanie who was called Mel more than Melanie and Brian who was called Bry more than Brian had been friends for years, and he had harbored feelings for her for more than half of the time they had known each other. It was an epic story of how Melanie’s search for the one person who she could truly love had come to an end when she realized she felt the same way for Brian as he did for her after Brian and been criticly injured in a car accident. Melanie had been the first to be at his side in the hospital. And would be the last to be by his side at the alter of love. It had been rated the Top Dramatic Romance movie of the year. That year. And because of what Sky did at the restaurant less than three hours after the movie it was her favorite movie of all time.

She let her mind wonder to the restaurant. She could picture it clearly. Soft romantic music was playing in the back ground. The tables were all unset excluding one table in the middle of the Restaurant . A table that had two dozen fresh cut roses sitting where Syd’s plate should have been. Her plate was sitting next to the roses. The owner of the bistro had been a kind and gentle women. Her hair was a light brown with soft blond streaks through out. Her Emerald eyes seemed to glint in the soft candle light through out the bistro. Her white dress with its golden trims made her as beautiful if not more beautiful than an angel.

“Where here” Syd heard Sky’s voice from what seemed like a distance. She snapped out of her memory right away. Looking at Sky who was waiting outside the door to the limo for her to get out. “Same as the night that my life went from bad to miraculous the movie first.” Sky said as he helped Syd out of the limo.

The movie was exactly as Syd remembered it. A wonderful Romantic Drama. She loved it. She held on to Sky for the whole movie. As the two were leaving the theater and about to get into the limo they heard that all to familiar beeping from there morphers. “Why NOW!!!” Sky said as he grabbed his morpher.

“Sir, there’s trouble in the city plaza. The others need you and Syd now.” Kat’s voice came lofting out of the morpher.

Syd sighed. It looked like there date was over.

“Bridge!” Z called as Bridge flew in front of her and into a brick wall. Landing hard on a car that was parked in front of the wall. “That’s it!” Z called as she pulled her morpher out. “If ever there was a time now is it. SPD EMERGANCY!!” She called out as she morphed. Before Holding her morpher up again. “Weapons Mode Activate Delta Ax Power Up!” She said as a yellow and silver ax appeared in her hands.

“You boys wanna play why don’t you play with us?” Z said as four replications of herself morphed holding the ax appeared. All five of the Yellow rangers charged towards the Krybot’s which seemed to be stronger than the originals as well as looking a lot uglier. But it wasn’t long before she noticed her attempts were futile as she was throwing into the same wall as Bridge.

“THAT’S ENOUGH!” two voices yelled in unison as the Pink SPD Ranger and the SPD Shadow Ranger appeared jumping down from atop a building. “You freaks interrupted my anniversary NOW I’m ANGRY AND YOU WON’T LIKE ME WHEN I’M ANGRY” Syd said as she pulled a diamond out of the materials pouch on her belt. “Fist of Diamond” she said as her hand became as hard as a diamond and took on the glossy appearance of the diamond. Before Charging towards the Krybots. Easily taking out two or three of them before four flashes of Bright Red Energy hit the ground sending her and Sky flying.

As a dragon looking monster carrying a sword with a bat for the hilt. Appeared in a flash of red flame. The rangers began to stand up but were continually knocked down by this new villain “I am Dragon, General of the Variddian Empire Army. And the messenger of Queen Helena, You are hereby ordered to stop your attempts to block her control of this pitiful planet. The queen’s word is LAW and you will obey or be destroyed.” The creature said firing another series of energy bolts at the rangers sending them flying into a wall causing all four of them to demorph at the same time.

The end Chapter Four.
