I tried to base every suit from the MMPR of a ranger, the first one being Jason, second Billy, and i'm probably use some Adam-ey for the Ninja-ed one. the Movie one follows the simplistic choice of clothes of the movie, where suspiciously every ranger wore white....

Well you're Acatl, you'll find a way. But i do agree, with the canon suits, there isn't much more you can do apart from adding in some random armoured bits and changing the helmet with an original civvie. With your own creations, there's a lot more room for different techniques.

Well, since i feel inferior, i'm now going to do some detailed pixels...

Since i'm too lazy to update this tutorial on the page, i'm gonna post it here:

How to use a pattern on a template, and not fail =D
For this mini tutorial, we will need:
A pattern of your choice:

Ready?
Let's start!

Step one:
Chose any of the templates that you wanna use a pattern on(Even works on humans!)
On MSPaint, make a black square in which the piece you selected will fit.
Step Two:
Erase said piece, to have a white silhouete of the piece

Step Three:
Paste the selected pattern, as many times as needed(The piece has to fit in here too)
Step Four:
Select white as the secondary color.
Copy the White sillouete with the black background, and paste it over the pattern(Be sure that the transparency on MSPaint is on)
Move it until you're sattisfied on how it will look.

Step Five:
Use the brush to paint everything you will not need in black. No need to be perfeect, just make sure to not mess with the patterned silhouete.

Now you have a pattern shaped like the piece!

Step Six:
Depending on the number of colors in the pallete, copy and paste the original and the new silhouete as many times as needed(4, in this case)

Step Seven:
On the copies of the original piece, erase a color in each of these(An easy way to do it is to select the color you want to erase as the transparent color)

Step Eight:
Select black as the secondary color
Now, move the modified pieces to the patterned silhouettes.

Step Nine:
The FUN part!
Copy the second piece and on Irfanview(I'm using 4.20), paste the image, then go to Image>color correction, and drop the brightness to about -30(Depends on how dark or bright the pattern is), since black is already... well, black, it won't affect the transparency on paint.
Go back to paint, and paste the image over the original.
Copy the next one and paste it on irfanview, repeat the process, but choose about -60 this time.
For the final one, which is the outline, i used -120.
Paste everything back to paint.

Erase everything that is not a pattern.

Just arrange everything, piece over piece. voila!
A shaded vest with a pattern!(Unshaded one added for comparison purposes)

Now no one has a excuse to have unshaded stuff! =D

Oh, and Stian's streaks where done by Cory, 'cuz i thought he would do something similar to his Overdrive gold, but, alas, he didn't.
The bandana was a last adition, 'cuz i have the whole thing on layers, and the bard symbol is the feather, when i made the the helmetless thing, the feather looked kinda cool there, so i left it XD

I like how Jpn/Saka ditches the glasses for his helmetless suit. As for the inspirations, i shoulda guessed Final Fantasy woudl be somewhere there (7 is the best but i hate how many bloody spin offs it has...)

Hopefully you've had fun doin these so i'm hoping there will be the rumoured Samurai Guild...and it'd be ace if they were all female. I also noticed how none of us seem to wear our ranger colours, which is refreshing since we (even i'm guilty) try to follow the show in that sense (i mean who wouldn't have figured out that in the real world? Or why Clarke wears red and blue EVERY day in Smallville...)
