Current Zord Battles Question

How do they create the zord battles nowadays? I haven't watched a "new" zord battle since DT. Do they still use people in suits on mini city sets, or do they do it all by computer animation nowadays?

I'd say it's half and half. Big attacks are computer animated, and major walking around and hitting are people in suits.

I'd say it is about 75% CGI.

Most of the zord movements, and attacks are CGI.

Personaly I say just get rid of the CGI, but I don't own Disney.

current zord battles sucks. Pretty much what the others said. I have said it many times that all the older zord fights past wild force are way better than the currents.

That was why I said if I owned Disney, not in charge of Power Rangers. If I owned Disney, then I would have all of Disney's money.

But I always say that MMPR had the best Zord fights, becuase they were actually fights, with real combat.

Thanks guys. The reason I'm wondering, is because I don't get Toon Disney (well, I do, but you have to have digital cable, which we don't), so I don't get to watch the original airings when they're released, and haven't watched a new season since PRDT, so I wasn't sure what they did. I'm never up early enough to catch the repeats on ABC Kids either.

Your post gives me a response to the "Original Footage" thread. Back in seasons 2 and 3, Saban "borrowed" the monster suits for the hand to hand combat, if they wanted to, they could easily do the same thing (to make the show completely American) and just use the zord battles from Sentai footage. It would make the series so much more original and take it away from Sentai. Which I believe makes the show better (IMO, that's why PRWF wasn't very popular - too much like the Sentai story).

Its safe to assume all of us know Disney has billions at their disposal.They just want to spend as little as they can and get the most money out of it.When people say they can't they mean the people who make it are give a small amount of money,well much smaller than Disney could give them,to make the show.

As for the zord battles.I think theres very few american original zord battle.The only one i can think of is the zord battle between Rito,a bunch of season 1 monster(i think their was season 2 monsters in the group as well) destroying the thunder zords.

And as a country we're horrible at putting men in rubber suits and depicting a decent looking battle.Sadly thats both a compliment and an insult.
Tatooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills sad proves it.I give them kudos for trying though.We just don't have the ball to continue at it till we get it right.We even skipped out on a rubber suit man for our godzilla movie.

I would just like to point out that the question is only targeted to the seasons after Dino Thunder.

Doesn't mean it didn't follow the Sentai storyline too closely, which it did.
