Welcome Kawaii Japan Lover, thank you for your time. This interview will consist of 15 questions or more.

This interview should be completed within a week, but at the same time there are a few situations that may cause delay in completion. These situations include school, work, family events, emergencies, computer problems, etc. If one occurs just let me know through this thread or via Private Message, and we can continue this interview on a later date. I will let you know if anything in my life comes up as well.

Note that personal questions will not be asked in this interview.

Your username; can you tell everyone the origin of your name? How you came up with it? Does it have a meaning to fan fic, or character you made up, or someone in Power Rangers?

Anyway, my name, as you can probably see from my avatar, stems from personal interests. I love Japanese cuties, and if that's wrong then I guess I'm just wrong, to each his/her own :p

Name your top 5 favorite seasons of Power Rangers. Why are they your favorites? Did you like the villain's for these seasons? Is there anything you might slightly change about it?
If you do not have a top 5, list as many of your favorites as possible.

In no particular order:

MMPR s 1-3-The original, gotta give it credit for that. The only main villain I liked was Goldar, but King Sphinx was my favorite all time villain.

JF-It's not a copy and paste Geki (which I did like also), it's it's own thing, and I love it for that. Dai Shi's all right, nothing to write home about IMO.

LG-Galactabeasts, 'nuff said. Scorpius or whatever his name was never caught my attention, he was just a big bug giving orders.

DT-I felt like I could relate to the characters when it first came out, still do. Mesogog was smart and a pretty serious villain, one of my favorites.

OO-I didn't think it sucked, lol. Seriously though, it's a pretty awesome season. The villains, however, didn't get my attention.

As for changing anything, I know they're not perfect but there's nothing I'd change about them except better fight scenes.

A great evil is loose. It's your job to construct a ranger team. Out of all the rangers available from all the different Power Ranger/Sentai seasons, which ones would you want on the team? These can be from each season and you can have whoever you like, so Five Rangers one Sixth ranger Or SPD style and have 8.
In addition, why you would chose them as well, what makes them good enough?

Anyway, here's my ranger team. Going with five this time.

1. Gotta have Adam Park/MMPR Black Ranger as the leader for his experience.
2. Jiraiya/Ninja Black. This guy was kick ass in Kakuranger and in real life, plus he speaks English!
3. Natsuki Mamiya/BoukenYellow. The Strong Adventurer, she speaks for herself. Plus I'm a big fan of her character and the actress who portrayed her (Chise Nakamura)
4. Cam Watanabe/Green Samurai. Super smart guy, plus he ain't too shabby as a ranger either.
5. Gou Fukami/GekiViolet. He was badass in Geki and a great fighter.

Thus far which Power Ranger/Super Sentai team up has been your favorite? Why is it your favorite? What has made it your favorite? Was there anything that the team up was lacking? Explain.

So far Dekaranger vs. Magiranger. It's the only team-up I've sit down and actually watched. The action was awesome, just a good all around team-up.

On the PR side, Thunder Storm for the same reasons above except the obvious.

In Power Rangers, we are seeing a lot more Rangers with genetic powers, which one that appeared in the show would you want and why? What would you do with it? Would you use it for personal gain? Would you tell anyone about your gift?

Rose's invisiblity, it's got a Ninja-esque quality to it. I'd use it for good as well as personal gain to be honest, if you got it, use it. I'd only tell those I can really trust.

Out of all the Rangers who is your favorite and why what is so great about them? Did they do anything that you really liked about them more? Would you change anything about them?

Adam, hands down. He was a taciturn guy most of the time but he was also a martial artist and could more than hold his own against a monster. It also helps that I have a lot in common with Adam.

Do you watch any Sentai? If so do you like to watch some before a new season of PR starts? Which Sentai seasons have you seen? What is there about Sentai that you like that you wished they would do in PR?
If you have not seen any Sentai, would you like to? If not, why?

Lol, yeah, Adam was awesome in OaR, I nearly fell out when I saw him.

I watch Sentai almost religiously. But I'm NOT a Sentai Snob, I just had to point that out, I know it ain't perfect and I love it just as much as PR. I usually do like to watch Sentai before the new PR, with Go-Onger I don't have much of a choice, lol.

Since you can't realistically bring the cutie Japanese actresses to PR, the only thing I'd bring over is better fights, more mature plots, and less campy explosions.

What is the earliest Power Rangers memory you have? Was it watching the show? Getting some PR merchandise? What was it that made you keep watching?

My earliest memory was probably getting Green with Evil part 1 video tape. I guess what kept me watching was the Dinozords, and when I finally got the REAL deluxe Megazord :)

SPD gave us our first female red ranger, yet she was evil. What are your thoughts and feelings of having a female red ranger leading the main team? Leading the side of good. What are your thoughts and feeling of having a female lead the main team for an entire season? Would you like to see another female red ranger? Do you think having one would go well with the fans? Do you think it would go well with the marketed audience (little kids)? Do you think it would go well with hard core fans (members of discussion boards)? Do you think Disney should make the next red ranger female even though in Sentai the ranger is male? Do you think they should wait for Sentai? Explain.

Well, IMO I think a female red would be awesome. Nearly all the fanfics I've posted on the old and new RT, HH, and HT have had female reds. I think, if Disney does the character right, that she should lead the entire season. I'm not saying she should be perfect, she should have faults to overcome like the others.

From what I've been reading I think the fanbase would love a female red, but little kids I'm not so sure. Since PR is targeted toward boys I don't think that'd go too well, but kids today are different, so I may be wrong. If Disney wants to do another (official) female red, I really think they should wait for Sentai. If not we'll get some odd-looking footage from zords since that's mostly Sentai, but that's just me.

Did you like the fact of the original rangers leaving? Did it make you sad to see them go? Or were you happy about it? What did you think of the replacements? And what did you think about the rest leaving in later on in Turbo? What are your thoughts about this?

Well, to be honest when I first saw the new three and heard Zack, Jason, and Trini were leaving, I was like...meh. All I cared about was the new zords/monsters they'd fight :D

As for Turbo, I really don't care too much for that season so I don't have much of an opinion on that either, sorry.

Which villains in Power Rangers do you like the most? Which ones do you hate the most and why? Which Villain do you think beat the rangers more then any other one? Which one do you think would have been better in another season for example the villain in SPD might have been better in IS.

My one favorite villain would probably be Mesogog, he was smart and serious, not overly goofy like Rita and Zedd when they got married. I just mentioned my least favorites, so I guess that question's been answered :D. As for villains crossing seasons I don't really have much of an opinion on that, sorry.

Do you like when a ranger team starts off with 5 and eventually is joined by a 6th ranger? Or do you like it when a team starts with 3 and eventually is joined by two or more? Explain within detail the one you prefer

From a writing standpoint I prefer 3 followed by four. There aren't as many to develop when you start with three and it's a little easier IMO.

What aspect of Power Rangers is your favorite? (The posing, Zords, helmets, etc?)

Zords definitely. But if the characters/villains catch my eye and I don't like the zords I'll usually still watch the season.

If you could create a Power Ranger season what kind of PR would you have, where would it be set, what year, what color be the leader, how many rangers? What would the villain be like?

I'd probably do one based off Samurai. It'd be set the present year on the East Coast of the US and Japan, with the story switching between the two for the first few chapters until the rangers eventually meet. I'd start with three, then add two or three more, red (female) would be the leader. The villains would be Nobunaga Oda and his army. It'd be a more mature version of PR.

If you could create a Power Ranger team made up of Villains who and why?

Definetely Mesogog as leader, since he was...well, you get picture. Goldar (pre S2), Kamdor, and Ecliptor b/c they were awesome warriors. And finally Astronema, she seemed to be a capable villainess from what I remember of IS.

If you could make an adult version of PR more grown up so you could have more action and blood or swearing, what would you do to make it more for an older audience and what season would like to make as an mature season for adults? Also would you re-cast the same cast or pick new people?

I was waiting for a mod to delete these posts but I guess I'll go ahead.

I'd go with Wild Force with a more savage, bestial theme to it. It'd have more action and mild swearing, but it wouldn't overly gory or have ridiculous casual swearing. I'd keep everyone but Taylor, adding in a male to fit the Japanese footage.

If you where asked to be a ranger in real life, which Villain would you want to battle, which PR outfit, which Ranger, which mentor and where about’s would you set it?

No problem at all, Anahi, :cool:

I'd pick the Rhino Ranger's suit, I just love his sidearm and the accents of the costume. The setting would be the East Coast, either Miami, DC, or New York. For my mentor it'd be either RJ or Commander Cruger, you can't go wrong with either one. For my villain I'd pick Mesogog and Moltor, combining their armies into a dinosaur/dragon force.

Wow, that would be a nice mix between Moltor and Mesegog.

Ok if you were a villain in PR, what kind of villain would you be? Would you have any powers?
Also we all know Villains always lose but in this case you will win, so what is your plan for destroying the Power Rangers and also which team would you like to destroy?

I'd be a good guy turned bad kinda villain. I've always liked that kind of storyline. I'd only have the best generals and monsters, but for the most part I'd be fighting the rangers along with them. As for powers, they'd probably be Chi or animal based.

The team I'd like to destroy would be OO but mainly Will. I just hate him so much! He was so arrogant I wanted to punch him in his throat every time he opened his mouth. Anyway, my plan would be to put a virus in Mack's system (assuming he's still an Android). The virus would be inactive and undetectable by the Rangers or Mr.Hartford. Then, just when they seem the most content, Mack suddenly goes berserk and destroys Rose, Dax, Ronny, Tyzonn, Sentinel Knight, Mr. Hartford, and Spencer as they try to stop him. When all is done and Mack feels as low as you can get, the virus causes him to self destruct. Will will have been pulled aside on a fake mission, oblivious to what has happened. When he finds out he's been tricked he returns to the mansion to find his friends lying about, motionless. That's where I come in and end Mr. Aston in a bloody final.

For you to think about, you think being red ranger, in other words leader, is decided by gender and/or looks, or by capacity, leadership, and/or by a good heart?

Capacity, leadership, and heart of course. Like any employer worth his/her salt I wouldn't pick a candidate just because he/she would look good posing for the camera. Looks would be the last thing on my mind for this issue. We need a red ranger that can effectively lead, but at at the same time have some amount of tact and kindness. They don't have to be Mother Teresa but they can't be an A-hole like Eric either.

Would you ever like to see a ranger go evil? Like is the villain in a new season?
If so which one and why? What do you think would make a ranger want to be a bad guy and fight for evil?
Or a ranger chose the side of evil half way though and season and stick with it, like they where betrayed or something else?

Yeah, I think it'd be cool if a ranger went evil and became a villain, it adds a little drama to the story. Who...hmm...I'm drawing a blank at this moment, maybe Will? I think he'd be a good bad guy, but that's just me.

I'd say what makes a ranger turn to the dark side is mostly the notion of power. This is especially true if the ranger in question had a hard life or always felt helpless. Of course there are exceptions and millions of other reasons, like sheer greed, or the ranger just really hates his team.

Which Power Rangers season had the best opening to a season and ending? What makes a good opening and Ending in your opinion?

Lol. I was just going with the flow back there.

Anyway, my favorite opening and ending has to be Jungle Fury that theme just gets stuck in my head, in a good way. As for what makes a good opening it mostly depends on the season for me.

Is there an episode of Power Rangers that you do not like? Or is there something else in PR that annoys you?

I really don't like the "clip shows" of any season. They're a waste of space that could be used to further the story. SPD's "Insomnia" is one of the few exceptions though. As you can guess I am not looking forward to "Don't Blow That Dough".

Which was your favorite ranger from each season? And only one, not two one you have to pick one! Just want to make it harder for you :p And why them?

MMPR through early Turbo: Definitely Adam, he was a martial artist, but also kind and kind of a shy guy, not brash and reckless. Plus he was just awesome in Once A Ranger.

In Space I really didn't care about so we'll skip that one .

Lost Galaxy: Kendrix, she was sweet as well as being smart.

Lightspeed Rescue I didn't like so we'll skip that one also.

Time Force: Jen, because she was a strong leader.

Wild Force: Danny, I can connect with him, being gentle yet strong.

Ninja Storm: Dustin, though he was an airhead he made me laugh to no end.

Dino Thunder: Ethan, mostly because I can relate to him better than Connor, Trent, or Kira.

SPD: Sky, he was a bit of a prick but a good, by the book ranger

Mystic Force: Madison, though we didn't get to know much about her she seemed like a sweet person from what I saw and could really throw down when she needed to.

Operation Overdrive: Dax, for the same reason as Dustin

Jungle Fury: RJ, he's laid back and cool at the same time.

As you can see, my favorites haven't changed much :D

My team would be made up of six me, Soudai Tennou no Genbu, Jasmine Reimon, Gekicosmic, Bridgette, and Asgard Ranger. I usually talk with Genbu and Jasmine on MSN or on here, and Geki, Bridgette, and Asgard are generally cool people on here I think. Since you're pretty cool Anahi I'll throw you in as a Zordon-like mentor, you seem pretty cool. :). Like last time I wouldn't use anyone on here for villains, even if it's just for fun.

Off topic 100th post, yay!
