View Full Version : Why did Specter even want Astronema back?

Why did Specter bother having Karone turned into Cyber Astronema? She betrayed him and he was furious at her. Yet he had her reconditioned and put back in charge of the Dark Fortress like nothing happened. She even betrayed him despite the cyber conditioning.

She was an asset. Specter was just as mad of losing her as soldier as he was at her for her betrayal. He didn't realize by controlling her good emotions, he would actually make her more dangerous to his plans.

Specter made a deal with Ecliptor. He would revive him as Cyber Ecliptor and spare Karone if he could remake her into Cyber Astronema. Ecliptor wanted Astronema on the side of evil anyway.

She was Zordon's chosen heir. And he couldn't risk her assuming the role or becoming a Marty. Even coming back as a floating head to remain a nuisance. She was much more valuable under his control as Cyber Astronema.

It was a pretty evil act, so it fits Specter and the whole UAE.

Astronema was the one holding his empire together and he knew it. Specter could never maintain control on his own the way Astronema could.

The Psycho's were probably sent to watch over Astronema as much as they were sent to destroy the Rangers. Specter didn't realize she would not only found out they were a weakness but also find a way to control them herself.

It was just a dumb excuse to keep her the main villain. Darkconda should have been the main villain under Specter for the rest of the season.

Space tended to have drama where it didn't need it.

The same reason he had her taken as a child. He wanted Karone to be his cheif soldier and always did.

How could Specter had known little Karone would grow into Astronema?

He needed as much generals as possible to take over the galaxy. And I don't think he trusted anyone else to be the point man in his invasion.

Of course the UAE was surprising incompetent.. But Dark Spector and Astronema were bad ass.

It must have been another plothole.

Im surprised he didn pick Rita.

Im surprised he didn pick Rita.

she was still in her dumpster and as far as he knew she was never getting out so he wanted someone he could rely on. Lord Zedd and Master Vile were busy doing their own thing.

I meant during Space. And possibly after Karone went good. Why did Specter go to the trouble of getting her back when he could have made Rita his general.

Massive Ego

Because Zedd, Rita, and Divatox were just patsy's for Dark Specter. He allowed them and others to pillage the galaxy in order to create chaos until he was read to lead the UAE into greater conquest.

because those other villains were proven to be constant failures so he wasn't going to trust them.

Astronema seemed like a much better leader. Its not surprising Specter wanted to get her back by any means necessary. Besides making her turn bad against her will could be seen as revenge. And also shows how revenge doesn't pay. Since Astronema almost took him out.

Lord Zedd

I would have put Lord Zedd in charge..Make him Cyber Zedd and control his emotions to make him like he was pre love potion.

Specter knew good help was too hard to find.

She still had value to him and would have been too valuable to his enemies. Still he wasn't going to waste a good asset.

that's a good theory there. He knew she'd be valuable to Andros due to them being siblings so I think that was a good part of it. Dark Specter is supposed to be an horribly evil villain so it would only make sense that he would want to hurt a Ranger not just on a physical level but also on an emotional level too.

Specter and Astronema are so overrated! If you want great villains go watch SPD.

ha that's a good one what are you? a comedian? the only good villains in SPD are Broodwing, Benaag, Devastation and Itchior.

Space has numerous great or good villains - Dark Specter I'm not really counting but others would include Astronema, Ecliptor, Darkonda, Darkliptor, Electrotramp, Clawhammer, Body Switcher, Lizwizard and the Psycho Rangers.

I just don't like the Space Villains. SPD does a much better job with them. The SPD villains are underrated.

I don't like any of the two sets of villains or either season for that matter.

Karone being reprogrammed into a cyborg is probably one of the scariest things pr has ever done.

It was pretty chilling. Albeit a bit confusion with her immediately trying to betray Specter.

Thats what made Space great.though.

I think too much drama is no good for PR. We need to keep it fun and exciting.

You can have too much comedy too through.

It was a worse punishment for Karone. Since Astronema made her become something she didn't want to be anymore. And caused her to hurt her new friends and her own brother. Plus her actions helped Specter. He didn't realize it would backfire and that she would try to betray him anyway.
