Zedd and Count Dregon

They are supposed to be rivals for thousands of years yet Masked Rider tells us that Dregon is Dex's uncle so it's unlikely he was around as long as Zedd mentioned.

It's possible the Edenites live for thousands of years. There is nothing that contradicts this. King Lexian built Alpha 5 who was with Zordon for thousands of years.

Masked Rider the show was a fictional tv series based on the life of Dex. We met the real Dex in "Friend In Need".

Perhaps Dregon took on the identity of another Count Dregon who was a rival to Zedd. Dregon probably killed the old Dregon to take over his army and identity.

It is odd how Dregon or Masked Rider were never mentioned again on Power Rangers.

It does seem to be at odds with the Masked Rider TV show which goes out of its way to ignore Power Rangers of course MMPR season 3 has no mention of Dex or Dregon after the team up either.

I agree it's a continuity error. It's very hard to explain away sometimes they do defeat themselves by making things up as they go.

It's been pointed out that they never made defined ages for Edenites and they wouldn't be the first peoples of the PRU to live past millenniums. It's just a weird quirk the PRU seems to have especially in the early seasons.

The Masked Rider Powers gave its user extremely long life. Lexian lived for an extremely long time and had a long line of children. Dregon was one of his oldest and was jealous of his father for the power and his near immortality. After Dregon was banished from Edenoi he found the means to not just build his own army but to achieve the long life he always wanted.

Along the way he butted heads with Zedd. The two had a long rivalry of trying to outdo each other within the UAE. Many years later Dregon returned to Edenoi and eliminated most of the royal line. Dex was the last heir and the son of one of Lexian's youngest children. Dex himself was not very old.

They were probably allies once and turned against each other. As evil members of the UAE tended to do. Specter encouraged in fighting when it wasn't one of his direct plans.

It doesn't seem that the two should have crossed paths before. They were just trying to tie it in for the team up.

not true. Rocky mentions Dex when they're in the Command Center when they're trying to convince Zordon to send a distress signal to Aquitar.

Dregon joined the UAE after batter being expelled from Edenoi. Where Zedd and himself became quick rivals.

The UAE recruited Dregon and Zedd was jealous of the preferential treatment he got in the beginning. I don't think Dregon was that high up in the UAE by MMPR Season 2. But Zedd lot a ton of standing by then himself.Regardless they both still hated each other.

Dregon was definitely posing as the original Dregon, who Zedd was referring too. Not knowing he was defeated and replaced by Edenoi's Dregon.

It makes you wonder how old Dex was. He could have been young by Edenoi standards but old by ours.

I think they changed a pot of Dregon's backstory when the series started. So thats why the descrepencies are there. Masked Rider was pretty bad anyway.
