They were never going to use Sentai Footage. This is a big budget movie aimed at an older audience. This isn't "Clash Of The Red Rangers". And this is a Lionsgate Movie. Who is basically running the show with Saban Brands having some say as the owners of the brand.

Even the old Saban movies were all original. And this film has a bigger budget and bigger ambitions.
