A pattern with anime villains

I have noticed that there seems to be a trend that when individual underlings have episode arcs (Shittenou, Witches 5, Sailor Animamates) they end up dead and if only the underling group as a whole has an arc (Ayakashi Sisters, Amazon Trio, Amazoness Quartet) they are redeemed. Any theories as to why the pattern had this design?

That is an interesting pattern. But we know Kaori, Eudial and Mimet are not redeemed and they have a huge arch each. Also Nephrite was redeemed and he had his own arch.

I think the anime just fell into the rythem of having villains be redeemed. Which is funny since everyone in season 1 ( except Nephrite) are not redeemed while future seasons feature multiple redeemed villains ( S being the exception)....But the manga has the Four Kings end up being good spirits with just about everyone else not turning good. The exception are the Amazon Quartet.
