There has been a lot of talk the past few weeks on what will hpen of the planned merger doesn't get through court approval.
Aparently. Time Warner would then sell Warner Brothers, Turner Broadcasting, and HBO separately. Keep in mind that this is only if the planned merger doesn't go through. And might not even play out if it does But its fun to speculate about.

Personally, I think this could be a good thing. Provided the three companies weren't just gobbled up by other big studios. Just for an example: Lets say AT&T bought Warner Brothers, Apple Bought Turner Broadcasting, and Microsoft bought HBO....Well then you would have less media consolidation and more competition. It would certainly be better than the whole company being bought by another big company.
