Are GaoLion and GaoLion DX two different Power Animals? Or are they the same Power Animal in two different modes or something?

I believe they were the same but different modes since I believe the former is for the primary mecha formation (which us Power Rangers fans would call the primary Megazord formation this being the Wild Force Megazord) and I believe the deluxe one might have been for the Pegasus formation.
