The article makes a lot of sense and feels like this is exactly what Lionsgate is going for.

I don't think they mean literally copying Transformers. It is just the same genre they are going for. Plus its a similar toy driven franchise that was able to apeal to adults.

Its funny though. The Transformers s Movie is what had me thinking we could get a PR movie of this same genre. So I get what they mean. I like that transformers movie franchise overall though.

I want Dark and Gritty PR. Just like the recent fan film. I think the movie should be more. Dark Knight than Avengers. The world is ready for adult PR. Lets show them that it isn't just a kids show.

that won't happen though since it still needs to be marketable towards kids and gritty stuff just isn't the Power Rangers style. Power Rangers being dark is one thing but dark and gritty is another and it just wouldn't fly.

P/R is just an insult to the franchise period. The guy who made it was an arrogant jerk who outright said he could 'make Power Rangers better". Not everything that is dark needs sex, violence and drugs and all that crap. You can be dark without being over the top.

Agreed, being Dark and Gritty for the shake of it would be foolish. The movie can be made.for an older audience but anything beyond that would be silly.

I just want a fun movie that fits what a blockbuster PR movie should be. I think avengers or transformers style would be perfect. Don't forget the Ninja Turtles Movie Franchise that is similar to what PR' Movie could be like.

I actually have no problem with Power/Rangers for what it is. Its fine as a fan film that is trying to have a little fun with the age of making franchises come back dark and gritty. But I don't think the movies should fit that tone. Its just unique fan film.
