That would have been a good idea. It seemed kinda funny how Zeo was supposed to be this.next big thing and only lasted one season.

Lord Zedd and Rita take over the Machine Empire. Zordon sends Trey ,Tommy ,and Kat a secret mission off world. Jason and Emily replace Tommy and Kat. When the Zeo Zords are destoryed the mysterious new Phantom Ranger gives the Rangers new Turbo Zords. The Pirate Divatox is introduced as a secondary antagonist. Bulk and Skull have some mis adventures in France before returning homes to reconcile with Detective Stone. Who has sold his detective business so he could buy the Juice Bar from Ernie. Bulk and Skull decide to go into business for themselves doing odd jobs.

that's not a bad idea but instead of Rita and Zedd taking over the Machine Empire they would just resume power over their original palace but their overlord (who we know as Dark Specter but his name wouldn't be stated yet) would have had the Machine Empire rebuilt and he would have given instructions so that Rita and Zedd would be under the control of Sprocket, Klank and Orbus.
Divatox would later be introduced along with Rygog, Elgar, Porto and Havoc.
I would definitely go with the whole Stone, Bulk and Skull thing but definitely not the destruction of the Zeozords... if any of them were destroyed it'd be the Red Battlezord, Pyramidas and Warrior Wheel.
The Rangers tried fighting Zedd's new machine monsters that Klank is teaching him how to create but all of them are failures so Zedd searches for additional monsters and he finds a bunch that have been thrown away onto a distant planet so he recruits them and those monsters are too powerful for the Rangers' zords so Zordon decides it's time to retire the Zeozords and to create new Turbozords which Billy already started as part of his mystery project while Trey was helping out the team as the Gold Ranger.

Zedd and Rita buy a sub and start terrorizing the Rangers. When the Zeo Zords are destoryed , Zordon gives them new Turbo Powers. Trey has to leave but is replaced by Phantom.Ranger.

I'm glad that they went to the seasonal theme changes. It keeps things fresh. I just wish Zeo had a better ending. It was weird how Trey was gone and Rita/Zedd were nowhere to be found. Plus Bulk and Skull were suddenly jr policeman again.
