Zordon was a powerful wizard who was known throughout the galaxy. Yet he chose to defend a small planet that on the surface didn't seem important. He spent centuries watching over and protecting this planet. Why?

Probably because of all the artifacts that existed on Earth. I would imagine they were of interest to the forces of good and evil. Its no wonder bad guys always want to invade Earth. Besides , its not like he was able to go anywhere when he got stuck in the time warp.

The perfect planet to build his own empire so he could conquer the galaxy. Rita messed his llans up when she was freed. Zordon would have continued to manipulate humanity until they were all his willing pawns. SPD later took advantage of this and actually followed through with the plan.

Why would he conquer the Earth? Zordon was a good guy. He spent all those centuries protecting Earth. Zordon was like a father to the Power Rangers. He woukd never do anything bad to humans. He wantes to protect them.

I believe he likely chose Earth because he discovered it was home to some cool items and was close in proximity to the Moon Palace in case Rita had ever escaped or Zedd had ever returned. On top of which I believe Zordon personally thought the humans had promise to be his next line of protectors in case he needed a team of Rangers.

Earth was home to the morphing masters. He came to study their history and learn to connect with them grid.

I always figured Zordon chose Earth on accident. Its just where he happened to get stuck in his time warp.

He must have thought humans had potenti be great like Eltarians..Just were a younger race with potential.

Earth just happened to be in trouble and once he was stuck in another demension he couldn't go anywhere else.
