the new title for season 18 could be Power Rangers Samuari Update: Looking more unlikely now

Tony Oliver's website credits Oliver for working on Power Rangers Samuari. Which seems to indicate that the new season will be called that. Although titles can be changed. Who knows if its just a temp title to call it something until the official one is out. But it still could very well be the new title. Getting used to the three word title is going to be odd. Not sure if the title sounds all that catchy. But perhaps they are trying to emphasis the Power Rangers brand name.

Back when Shinkenger came out, and it seemed like RPM was going to be the last season the title I came up with was Power Rangers Dawn of the Genji because the sea animal motif of the main Geddoshou, and their minions reminded of that myth that the Heike who lost the war with the Genji came back as crabs, and later finding out that the Geddoshou are ghosts who were once people.

So I wanted to have this story where the villains were the demonic souls of the Heike, and the Rangers were reincarnations of the Genji warriors who defeated the Heike being trained by this old Samurai master who was the last of the Genji.

If that is the title it is far from the usual.

Overdrive.92 talked to Tony Oliver. It turns out that he just got the title from IMBD. So it may very well not be the official title afterall. Also the Ranger names are still up in the air. So the ones reported might be changed.
