Yay, a big fight. Yushima coming to the Digital World to help bring the kids home, and boy did he.
We start off with Masaru and Ikuto going at it yet again, and I just love the unique relationship these two share, each only being able to understand the other through the fight. It's so artful how they've managed to write that in. Gotsumon's jealousy showing Ikuto who his real friends are was fun to watch, maybe now Ikuto can start to be a friend to DATS. It's sad that yet again Touma and Yoshino are made completely useless, but I guess their place made it important to learn exactly what the old fisherman had to do with this fight.
All three Ultimates up against the odds -- whee! Watching them combine their attacks was so sweet! Too bad all they managed to do was push Mercurimon back. But they did buy themselves a ticket back to the real world. And the Kamemon Digivolution, what a surprise. To think that a glorified tea maker could actually see action in the show before other DATS Digimon was shocking, but Gawappamon's cool. The music theme he sports doesn't exactly seem to suit Yushima, though.
Watching Yushima and Gawappamon forced to stay behind to make sure the others got home was sad, hopefully they survived to get out of Mercurimon's palace, but something tells me they didn't. Their sacrifice should bring Ikuto around, though.
So, now Gotsumon is sent to the real world to deal with Ikuto once and for all, who's coming out of this fight alive?
